Meet our board

Our local community is represented at all levels of Mildmay Community Centre.

We’re proud of have a board of residents and long-time friends of Mildmay Community Centre. You can read about them below.

Linda Brown

Chair of the board: Linda Brown brings tremendous knowledge of the local community to the organisation, having lived in  Islington since 1969 and has been involved with the community centre for over twenty of those years, primarily as a volunteer for the ‘Golden Oldies Senior Citizens Organisation’.

Miranda Dipino

Born locally to Italian parents & attending local schools, Miranda has lived in many places around the world but Mildmay is home in her heart. A Leadership Coach & Family Therapist Miranda Dipino added with her core values of family & community, Miranda enjoys enormously developing with local groups in building  sustainable projects. She loves supporting & encouraging young people in breaking through challenges to aspire to be their best selves. 

Kyle Addy

Local resident Kyle Addy whose projects include Men in Motion a safe group space for men of all religions and beliefs to come together to talk about issues that affect them, their families and their communities without fear or judgement. A local resident who encompasses our community-led need and wishes of our local community. Kyle also provides Woodwork and Jewellery classes for local children and their families. A wonderfully creative workshop for children to create their own jewellery and word craft work and a chance to play within a space of which many do not possess within their own home.    

Khadim Mane

Local resident Khadim Mane is the company director and head chef of Little Baobab, a Senegalese food business in London. Khadim’s approach to business is very community-minded and he regularly creates opportunities for the Senegalese community in London to showcase their skills. Little Baobab has established a music agency to represent the many high-quality Senegalese and African bands in the UK and also organises an annual music festival in Newington Green to promote community building.

Steven Marshall

A Teacher, Sports Coach and Director. Steven Marshall has provided sports coaching for young people and children for over 12 years in his local area. Having grown up in the area Steven has over the years, built a good relationship with many of the local parents, young people and children who live on the Mayville estate.
